Joe McCoy, Founder and President

Joe McCoy, Founder and President, responsible for direction and leadership of the day-to-day management of the business including strategic focus and tactical decisions. Joe has a degree in education from West Chester University and has attended post-graduate curriculum at Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania. Following a successful career at Bell Atlantic, where he held a number of management positions, Joe entered the world of business ownership. He has successfully started four business ventures with an average growth exceeding 25% on an annual basis. While leading his business ventures he also served as an Adjunct Professor for Delaware Technical College. In this capacity, Joe developed and delivered courses on Management and Selling to corporate entities such as Dupont, W.L. Gore and General Motors. His extensive experience in education, corporate management and business ownership was instrumental in formation of McCoy Enterprises. His understanding of the educational process and his experience in corporate environment has provided the guidelines for how to successfully develop and transfer information. It is his business ownership background; however, that has provided the key to McCoy Enterprises success. This ability to understand the challenge or goal from the client’s perspective and realize that their must be a Return on Investment has allowed McCoy Enterprises to become a truly, value added partner to our clients.

Joe Murray, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of McCoy Enterprises

Joe Murray, Partner and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day operations, financial, contracts and instructor certification, as well as course development and delivery for McCoy Enterprises. Prior to his present position, Mr. Murray was Vice President EF&I Operations for Telsource Corporation where he had operations responsibility for the corporation’s construction division, focusing on customer Engineer, Furnish and installation (E,F&I) services. Prior to his new division start-up work at Telsource, Joe, managed Fujitsu Network Services’ customer operations and support organization in the Northeast Region. As Division Manager, he had P&L and operations responsibility for a territory covering seven states with over 400 permanent and sub-contractor employees. Mr. Murray managed the division to exceptional revenue and net income growth of over 390% ($100 Million) in the three years from 1998 to 2000. He brings an extensive background in every phase of sales and operations management including, central office engineering, technical sales, service and operations.

Prior to joining Fujitsu, Mr. Murray enjoyed a very varied and successful career in the Bell System. Joe was a central office engineer in Pennsylvania and managed network and data sales organizations at both AT&T and Bell Atlantic (Verizon Corp.). Additionally, he has headed company wide technical sales support organizations in both the Large and General Business Divisions of Bell Atlantic.

Mr. Murray has been the recipient of several performance awards throughout his career including twice named AT&T’s outstanding Systems Manager. He has also been a President’s Club, Gold Club and Achiever’s Club winner. Joe was on the Board of Directors of The Fellowship House Community organization in Conshohocken, PA and is a past executive board member of the local community youth organization in Gloucester Township New Jersey. In college, Mr. Murray was a Marketing and Business Management major and has graduated from Bell Atlantic’s Leaders of Managers program at Wharton.

He and his wife and four children reside in New Jersey.

Robert Madonna, Partner and EVP Sales & Marketing of McCoy Enterprises

Robert M. Madonna, Partner and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for McCoy Enterprises, is responsible for all sales and business development activities. In 2005 and 2006, the Wharton School of Business and the Philadelphia Business Journal named McCoy Enterprises as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the Philadelphia Area. Prior to his present position, Mr. Madonna was EVP–Sales and Marketing of EchoBurst Corporation, (www.echoburst.com) of Dulles VA, a wireless Location Based Service (LBS) provider. Prior to his startup work at EchoBurst, Mr. Madonna was EVP-Sales and Marketing at Numerex Corporation (NASDAQ; NMRX, www.nmrx.com) of Atlanta, Georgia. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Madonna was responsible for the successful turnaround of four business units. These business units were Broadband Networks Inc (BNI), a State College, PA video communications and networking provider, UPLINK Security a Atlanta, GA provider of wireless security services, Digilog, a Willow Grove, PA provider of Telco network test equipment and DCX Systems, a Willow Grove, PA provider of wireline telemetry technologies.

Prior to joining Numerex, Mr. Madonna had a diverse and successful career at Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon Corp.). Mr. Madonna had extensive experience in new product development, sales and marketing, and customer services positions. While at Bell Atlantic, Mr. Madonna was responsible for developing and implementing various new products and services such as CLASS Calling Services, CATV Pay-per-View Services and Automatic Utility Meter Reading Services. In 1996, Mr. Madonna was on special assignment to Telecom New Zealand where he was responsible for reviewing and reorganizing Telecom’s Large Business customer service organization.

Mr. Madonna holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Widener University in PA and an associate in business administration from Delaware County Community College (DCCC). Mr. Madonna currently serves as a Board of Trustee with The Silver Springs-Martin Luther School located in Plymouth Meeting, PA (www.silver-springs.org), and an Advisory Board member of Educational Excellence and Entrepreneurship (3E Institute) at West Chester University, (www.wcu3einstitute.org), and a Board of Director of the National Attention Deficient Disorder Association, (www.add.org) located in Mount Laurel, NJ. In addition, Mr. Madonna was a founding director of the Golden Cradle Adoption, (www.goldencradle.com), a nationally recognized adoption agency currently located in New Jersey. Mr. Madonna is also an active member with the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Network Group (GPSEG), (www.gpseg.org), assisting executives in transition.

Mr. Madonna resides with his wife and three children in West Chester, PA.

Jim O’Connell, VP and Senior Advisor, is responsible for providing advice and counsel for management of the business including, strategic direction and tactical decisions. Jim is a telecommunications veteran with over 40 years of experience. Mr. O’Connell was Vice President of Operations for Bell Atlantic. He also served as Group General Manager for Telecom New Zealand, responsible for Sales and Marketing.

Alicia Vincent, Director of New Business Development, Trainer and McCoy Coach

Alicia Vincent, Director of New Business Development, Trainer and McCoy Coach. Alicia’s belief is a simple one – Never look down on anyone unless you are helping them up.

Alicia began her career in the hospitality industry in the Sales Department as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was instrumental in developing sales strategies, creating marketing promos to increase occupancy, supervising the day-to-day operations, and managing the sales team personnel. This gradually led Alicia to Crossroad Hospitality Management, a hotel management company. During this time she managed a hotel property.

Alicia left the hospitality industry and began a career in workforce development at Pennsylvania State University as a Corporate Programs Manager. Her responsibilities included contract negotiations, curriculum design, client development, student recruitment, performance measurement, and grant writing. She later continued the same work at West Chester University. She gained her project management experience while working for Advanced Acoustic Concepts, a torpedo-defense company, Uniontown, PA.

Alicia has been delivering formalized training since 1997. She serves her community as an active ITAG Board Member, Co-Chair for its Sustainability Committee, is a veteran Company Advisor in the world-renowned PFEW Program, and is an active United Way Volunteer.

Alicia is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (BS – Business) and Fairmont State University (AS-Merchandising). She has also completed two years of graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University in Leadership Development. Alicia is certified in the Leadership Development Process TM from Integro Leadership Institute. She is a 2005 graduate of the Chester County Leadership Connection Program. Alicia’s article, “Corporate Education,” was published in the October 2004 SmartBusiness Philadelphia. She currently lives outside of Philadelphia, PA.
